...and waited.
...and waited.
As of March, I've been doing some indie producing and marketing for a film, but it's still a little slow going. Unfortunately, the union TV shows are still on their off-season and probably won't start really picking up 'til mid to late summer. The catch-22 of this whole strike is it shut down operations for the last production season of pretty much every show and it kept the writers out of work during the period where we'd be gearing up for pilot season. Pilot season is that fun time of year where we all spend a few months working on a whole bunch of shows that are going to be pitched to the networks over the summer and like, 95 percent of them don't get picked up.
Hey, as long as I get my paycheck.
Well, not this year. Pilot season was greatly affected by the strike, which means there won't be a lot of new shows this fall, and the ones you do see will probably be b-list stuff that the networks would have typically passed on.
Oh, and be prepared for an absolute onslaught of reality TV. Fuck.
So, here I sit, finally updating this little journal of mine and not getting off my ass to actually scan more of my artwork into the computer so I can show you that I've actually drawn more than three things. Maybe that'll be my next project in lieu of a new journal entry.
Snooch to the nooch;

Melissa: He's hot
Me: I can see why you would say that, he's your kind.
Melissa: oh yeah, I have a kind? just what is my kind...?
Me: I, well, you know, city looking.
